About Me

I'm Liam Mahon, a racing driver from Cornwall, New York. I started racing around the age of 12 and quickly became enthralled with the sport. It turned into a place where I could escape from my normal day-to-day life. I had tried almost every sport out there as a child, but nothing compared to the thrill of racing. That competitive drive from other sports only fueled the fire to be the best I could be in any moving vehicle I stepped into. Now, almost 10 years after starting karting, I'm making the step up to cars in both circuit racing and oval racing. Over the years, I’ve learned what it truly takes to succeed and how to make the most of every opportunity that comes your way, because you never know when it might happen again. This sport has given me some of my closest friends, and I couldn’t be more grateful for everyone I’ve met through racing, all of whom have helped shape me into the person I am today both on and off the track.

In 2024, I won the K1 World Championship in Winchester, California, making me the second-ever World Champion of the series. During that same year, I also captured the K1 National Championship and the Florida State title, all while attending college at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, where I am pursuing my bachelor’s degree in Aeronautical Science. Over the next few years, I’m focused on advancing my motorsports career. I’ve recently made the jump to cars, competing in both the ChampCar Endurance Series and INEX Legends Cars. While these are vastly different series and vehicles, competing in both allows me to gain the most experience from every opportunity and expand my understanding of how to set up and drive different cars across multiple disciplines and conditions.
